Owen Wilson in good condition after suicide attempt

Reports by entertainment news outlets confirm that actor Owen Wilson attempted suicide on August 26th. A report by Santa Monica Police Department, published by "Extra", confirms that the 911 call on Sunday, which was made from Wilson's house, was listed as an "attempted suicide." "Extra" also claims though unnamed sources close to Owen Wilson, that the actor has been depressed lately and indeed attempted a suicide on Sunday, but it was not over a failed relationship.
According to Us Weekly, cocaine and heroin was to blame for the suicide attempt by Owen Wilson. Representatives of the actor have denied he ever used any of the drugs, but the publication reports that even his friends were all too aware of his drug and depression problems. The magazine cites Courtney Love (?) and former girlfriend Kate Hudson blaming British actor Steve Coogan for Wilson's addiction. Another unnamed source close to Hudson claims that the drugs and parties were to blame for their breakup in May.
The only official statement from Owen Wilson says "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."

Wilson Quits Film To Recover
Owen Wilson has pulled out of his latest movie project in an attempt to recover from an alleged suicide bid.
Wilson was reportedly found by his brother Andrew at his home in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday, with sources claiming he cut his wrists and took a number of pills.
He is currently recovering in Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
According to Variety magazine, Wilson has pulled out of the comedy "Tropic Thunder," which he was due to begin shooting with actor pal Ben Stiller in two weeks time.
A source tells the magazine, "Ben and Owen have made eight movies together. And he can't wait to work with Owen again. It's just not going to be on this film."
It is not known if Wilson will be replaced or if his role will be dropped from the script.
A spokesman for DreamWorks and Wilson were unavailable for comment.
